Our 1-Sided Sublimatable Hardboard blanks come with protective film on both sides. Here’s a step-by-step guide for sublimation:

PLEASE NOTE: These settings worked for us, but we recommend testing your settings to find the best temperature and time for your heat press!

Remove the protective film. Be careful not to scratch the surface. The film will have smoke residue. The surface of the blank is undamaged under the film. Clean with alcohol if needed.

MIRROR the image and print it slightly larger than the blank:

For a Large blank, print your image approximately 3.7 x 1.8 inches.

For a Jumbo blank, print your image approximately 4.6 x 2.2 inches.

Align the blank with the transfer and use heat tape to secure both ends of the substrate to the transfer.

Create a sandwich with the blank between two sheets of scratch paper.

Press at 385°F for 60-75 seconds with LIGHT pressure.

Remove the blank from the press immediately.

Remove the sublimation paper carefully as the blank will be very hot!

Note: Sublimation settings may vary depending on your heat press, paper brand, and ink.
