PLEASE NOTE: After sublimation, the surface of the blank will have a semi-gloss to matte appearance. The white cast acrylic may lose its high-gloss finish after the sublimation process.

Our White Cast Acrylic blanks come with protective paper on both sides. Here’s a step-by-step guide for sublimation:

PLEASE NOTE: These settings worked for us, but we recommend testing your settings to find the best temperature and time for your heat press!

Remove the protective paper from one side. Be careful not to scratch the surface. Do NOT remove the paper from the other side yet!

MIRROR the image and print it slightly larger than the blank:

For a Large blank, print your image approximately 3.7 x 1.8 inches.

For a Jumbo blank, print your image approximately 4.6 x 2.2 inches.

Align the blank with the transfer and use heat tape to secure both ends of the substrate to the transfer.

Create a sandwich with the blank between two sheets of scratch paper.

Press at 375°F for 65 seconds with LIGHT pressure.

Remove the blank from the press immediately.

IMPORTANT: Quickly place the sublimated blank on a hard surface and put a HEAVY object on top to prevent warping as it cools.

Once cool, remove the sublimation paper and the protective sheet from the other side of the blank. Be careful not to scratch the surface.

Even though both sides of the White Cast Acrylic are sublimatable, we recommend sublimating only one side. If you want to sublimate both sides, test first, as the side sublimated first may get slightly damaged by the heat tape.

Note: Sublimation settings may vary depending on your heat press, paper brand, and ink.
Cleaning: If your paper sticks to the surface of the blank, use a gentle, non-abrasive cloth to clean the sublimated acrylic surface. Baby wipes work great! Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could scratch or damage the print.

Avoiding direct sunlight: Store or display sublimated acrylic products away from direct sunlight to prevent color fading or degradation over time.

Avoiding extreme temperatures: Protect sublimated acrylic from extreme temperatures, as excessive heat or cold can affect print quality or cause the acrylic to warp.
